might be a thick question or lack of knowledge but what are rotifiers ?

Rotifers are very small creatures that make up a part of the zooplankton in the ocean.  You can hardly see them with the naked eye.

I keep a culture going in the kitchen and they are probably the easiest live food to grow.  My clownfish larvae lived on them for the first 2 weeks of being born.  There is a bit about them here:-

I got mine from a well know supplier of reef foods off Ebay last year and just keep them growing on in a pop bottle fed with roti feed or phytoplankton.

yup they are easy to culture if you have some space for 3 or 4 shelves and 2 or 3 spare old lights, add in some old 2 litre clear plastic drinks bottles and some airline .. sorted ...details on request
