Lol yeah very 'ish!!!!

He has decided today that the soaked seed isnt as good as yesterday, so now we are back to finding something else!!!!

I think he is tbh... But I cant afford for him not to be eating. His weight for the sized bird he is, should be around 1kilo, his weight on thursday was 710gm's, so even with his wing removed, he is still 200gm's below his weight.. Which is one hell of a lot :(

Quick update on Jinx..

His wound has healed up nicely, even the vet commented on how quickly he heals up. Considering all the other problems.... We are now having to concentrate on his weight. He is stable at around 700gm's, but as I said, he does need to put more on now. There is no reason why he wont eat. I did ask if it was because I was feeding him, and the answer was no, what I am giving him is enough to keep him going, but he should have a better appetite than he does at the moment.  He is still not on the critical list, just the worrying one...
He is still bright enough in himself and still very much a cuddly baby... So again not all bad news this time.

Is he just choosing not to eat more than enough to tick over or is it defo something stopping his appetite do you think?

TBH Mort we are not sure, Marie even spoke to some other avian vets that she knows, no one can come up with any idea why. It could be that his liver has more damage than we first thought or that his antibodies are still very high. Without running the test again we dont know. Marie said that she would rather not run them just yet, as she doesnt want to stress him out too much at the moment.

I think that is the plan for the next few weeks. As long as his weight is stable ie not losing weight, then we just plod on with how things are for now.. Thanks mate appreciate the fingers crossed :)

It is with a very heavy heart and many tears that I am posting this..

My brave little soldier lost his battle this morning.  I would just like to say thankyou from the bottom of my heart to everyone that gave me support during this. Jinx was a fighter, it just got too much for him..

RIP my baby, fly free over rainbow bridge, with your big beautiful wings, your cheeky hello. Mummy loves you very much and you will always be my special little man.. I love you darling xx

Sorry to hear that Teri I was hoping for the best Jinx was a true fighter but his suffering has ended and he is in a better place now :( RIP Jinx
