sounds like the clowns have accepted the damsel as part of the family.
not sure if they could breed , perhaps

Sounds cozy, they are related in the damsel family afterall and they both spawn the same way by laying eggs onto a surface and then fertilising the nest, so who knows if a hybrid hatch is possible...

good plan ... no they cant interbreed its a different subspecies as far as i know ...#
this behaviour isnt uncommon ... i have a male sailfin tang that decided he was a female copperband for a bit ... it was all very romantic and im sure they were happy together but it was a gay marriage ,.,, no offspring possible
basically what you have there is a deviant fish ... a bit like the wife and chocolate ... if its covered in chocolate its good
they may even spawn ... way hay ... but ... genetics will out , always
having said all that ... i`ll take a male and a female if they hatch tyvm ... well you never know do you

Well species cross paths all through history... It happens... naturally... some survive (ie the winners that have the best adaptions that suit them to their environment and the loosers who snuff it because they have none of the good stuff that Fred next door seem to have in abundance!) and that's part of what we see today everywhere we look...
Who cares... I want some... get the romantic DVD collection out... drag the TV to the tank and force feed 24/7 ....
Quick thought... Dare I ask... how did you test this theory?
